Selous Game Reserves covers 5%of Tanzania total land and is appropriately 50,000 sq km. Selous is Africa’s largest wildlife reserve and Tanzania’s most extensive protected area, Selous hosts a Large number of elephants, Big population of Buffaloes, Lions, Hippopotamus Crocodile in the might of Rufiji river and also has a rich variety of birdlife. The woodland which covered Selous Game Reserves is Miombo Woodland.

Day 1. Dar es Salaam and Selous Game Reserve

Pick up from Dar es Salaam city and proceed to selous game reserve we stop at Kibiti for getting lunch, Late afternoon, boat safaris along the mighty Rufiji river, Dinner and overnight at Mloka safari lodge.You will discover Rufiji river by boat encounter hippos and crocodiles in good number. Some 350 species of bird have been recorded in selous game reserve. These are typical of Miombo woodlands, and the bird life supported by Rufiji swamp lands is particular interest

Day 2. Game drive in Selous Nyerere National park.

You will have full day in Selous Game Reserve exploration of the reserve by 4 wheel drive vehicle dinner and over night at S Mloka safari lodge.The Selous game reserve is the largest in Africa, covering 53,600 squares Kilometre. The reserve gets its name from the hunter and explorer Frederick Courtney Selous. He was killed here during World War 1. Selous is famous for elephants; other species commonly seen are Lions, Wild dogs, Buffalo, bush back, Impalas
elands, baboons, zebras, giraffes. And so many animals.Excursions with 4*4 vehicle will permit you to have good photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of vast park.

Day 3.Walking Safaris and Game Drive in Selous game Reserve

After early breakfast another day in Selous Game Reserves. You will start with early morning walking safari, Followed by game drive with your picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at Mloka safari lodge.

Walking safari will give you a particularly intimate feel for the African wilds. It start to the morning with the guidance of an armed ranger, takes 2 hours before you meet the driver at the reserve gate. Walking safaris offer a good chance of seeing giraffe, zebras, elephant and good birding.

Day 4.Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere Np)to Dar es salaam

After breakfast return to Dar es salaam With picnic lunch. There is so much more to discover and enjoy in Tanzania!!!!
