A 2-day trip to Mikumi National Park, Tanzania, including a visit to Chizua Waterfalls would typically involve spending the first day on game drives within the park, focusing on spotting wildlife on the vast plains, and then dedicating the second day to a hike to the Chizua Waterfalls, which are located within the park boundaries, offering beautiful scenery and a refreshing swimming spot.
Tour Plan
We will pick you up from your hotel or the ferry and drive you to the SGR station for your train to the Morogoro region, which will take approximately one to two hours. Upon arrival, our driver guide will take you to Mikumi National Park for a late morning game drive until the afternoon.
After lunch, you will have time to relax before continuing with the afternoon to evening game drive. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Camp Bastian Mikumi.
After breakfast, we'll head to the trailhead for the beautiful Chizua Waterfalls! Get ready for a hike with amazing views, and maybe even a refreshing swim in the pool at the bottom of the falls.
We'll enjoy lunch during our hike. Once we're done at the waterfalls, we'll drive you to the SGR station in Morogoro for your train to Dar es Salaam. When you arrive in Dar es Salaam, our driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel or the airport for your flight to Zanzibar or home.
