This 3-day safari to Udzungwa and Mikumi offers wildlife viewing and hiking, with SGR train transfers for comfort. Udzungwa Mountains National Park is a tropical forest home to unique plants, animals, and 10 primate species.
Mikumi’s landscape provides serene wildlife viewing with animals like impalas, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. With luck, you might spot lions and leopards. Mikumi also hosts over 300 bird species, including the saddle-billed stork.
Tour Plan
We will pick you up from your hotel or the ferry and drive you to the SGR station for your train to the Morogoro region, which will take approximately one to two hours. Upon arrival, our driver-guide will take you to Mikumi National Park for a late morning game drive until the afternoon.
After lunch, you will have time to relax before continuing with the afternoon to late game drive. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Camp Bastian Mikumi.

After breakfast, you'll drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park, with a packed lunch provided by the park. You will enjoy lunch at one of the picnic campsites selected by your guide.
You'll continue your hike to the Sanje Waterfalls, a unique and stunning feature of the Udzungwa Mountains. During your trek, you may encounter various primates, including baboons, monkeys, Colobus, and many others. Your dinner and an overnight stay will be at Camp Bastian in Mikumi.
The morning after breakfast, you will depart to Dar es Salaam by train from Morogoro, where you can catch your ferry to Zanzibar, relax at your hotel, or head to the airport.
